Witney 100% Pure Wool Blankets

Witney -Horse Rug- Blankets

These blankets are approximately 15% heavier per square foot than -point- blankets and are made of 100% pure new wool. Shrunk from a larger size to 72inches x 84inches, these blankets have a somewhat tighter weave and feel. Available in Gold or Camel with red and dark blue stripes.

Blankets came in various colors. In a 1677 letter to Witne Mills, the purchasers indicated that they wanted the blankets dyed red and blue, as these were the colors that best pleased the Indians of Virginia.
