These are reproductions of the Fur Trade Era -Chiefs- blanket design. An early development dating to the Colonial period, these superior quality, highly prized blankets were popularly known as -Chiefs- blankets. 100% pure new wool - -point- blanket weight and quality.

Fragments of similarly designed blankets were found at Massacre Cave, Arizona (circa 1804). The popular White Multi-Stripe blanket was developed later to compete with the popular -Chiefs- blanket.

While the name implies a leaders level of ownership, these beautiful blankets were highly prized for their beauty and durability. Available in Alkaline White, Sequoia Red, Mojave Coral, Heritage Blue, Timberwolf Grey, and Aztec Brown.
